A calmer way to track your money, notice your patterns, and spend with intention.

I'm currently majoring in Computer Information Systems with a focus on Cybersecurity at California State University, Los Angeles. I've been working in Information Technology for about a year, and I'm constantly learning, experimenting, and trying to keep up with how quickly technology evolves.
This website is a kind of a journal, where I share my progress building WellSpnt, hold myself accountable, and invite you to be part of the process along the way.
WellSpnt didn't start as a product idea, it started as a personal question about money, awareness, and control. The post below is where I share the thinking behind the app: what wasn't working for me, what I wanted instead, and how manual tracking became a tool for clarity rather than restriction.
My WhyMost finance apps assume your money is simple. One income, one account, one paycheck. So they automate everything around that assumption. If your life doesn't look like that, the automation just creates more to clean up, not less.
WellSpnt works differently. You enter your own spending, so nothing gets miscategorized or guessed at. And because you're the one looking at every transaction, tracking never turns into judgment. You just see what's actually there.
Gig work, freelance, a side business, multiple incomes. WellSpnt doesn't assume your money is simple.
WellSpnt is being built openly, with progress and decisions shared along the way.
No app is really live. WellSpnt just tells you exactly when a balance was last true.
Nothing to auto-import, nothing to correct later. Just what you put in, on purpose.
